In the previous web pages of this site, I reviewed some theses on the Pentagon's attack, to conclude that the more trustable was that the attack was perpetrated through the crash of an American Airlines Boeing 757�: flight 77. I reviewed some other hypotheses, including the attack by a missile. In the first versions of this web site, I also quoted an hypothese, which I dropped soon�: the attack with a jet fighter. The "jet fighter" hypothese was advocated by the fact that the hole in the Pentagon's front is apparently too small for a 757, and also by the "white smoke plume" and "black tail form" in the images of the north parking lot cctv. Having demonstrated that the hole can have be made by a 757 and that no plane at all could fly on such a trajectory, there is _NO_ need for such a theory, which is backed by nearly nothing else. The missile or jet fighter theses keep however their defenders. Some odd theories even flourish, like for example the claim that the planes which stroke the World Trade Center were not real�: they were holograms instead, made with a military technology, and aimed to mask the terminal flight of missile towards the towers.
Historically, at the root of many conspirationnist theories, are two books written by a French, Thierry Meyssan, journalist, founder of the "R�seau Voltaire". His thesis is that a cruise missile hit the Pentagon on septembre 11th. It's technically incoherent and contradicts all the witness accounts. In an attempt to make this missile theory fit with the witness accounts, an American, Dick Eastman, has built a theory, so called "Killer jet", in which are involved the American Airlines Boeing 757, which makes a "diversion", a jet fighter and a missile launched by this later one. Rather complicated, not to say technically unfeasible, and finally contradicted by a key witness who demonstrates that the intellectual construction of Dick Eastman is a pure dellusion.
All this could seem odd and without importance, but it is not. Without any real enquiry on the septembre 11th events, an investigation has been conducted by some individuals in an officious and independant way. There is indeed some publishing of "results" and "conclusions", in a multipolar and disordered process, of which the present web site is part.
Nearly three years after septembre 11th event, the situation is that a concert of protests against the Bush administration uses the 9/11 event as a basis, but with completely different arguments, demonstrations or "proofs". It's a little like if somebody was charged of all the possible crimes, but without finding one particular which could be proved. It's even worth asking if the said charged person wouln't find interest to help spread rumors according to which he would be accountable of crime X, just to mask in a clever way that he is really indeed accountable of crime Y. The more astute from him would be to wait that most people charge him about crime X to show then a proof that crime X didn't happen. The later he will show this proof, the higher will be the number of those who charge him of crime X, the more he will be sure that he will not be charged later of crime Y.
There is indeed a "too much information" situation�: there are facts, witness accounts, interpretations, conclusions, rumors, counter-rumors, deliriums... After having reviewed what, to my eyes, is probably the deep root of the conspiracy, i.e. the electronic hijack of planes during a "war drill", I'm going to present some theories which have the merit to get some support of a number of people and the favor of certain conspiracy theories circles. They are the MIHOP 1 and MIHOP 2 theses which are based on the postulate that no plane crashed on the Pentagon, or even in a more marginal way on the WTC towers.
The efforts to promote the MIHOP 1 and MIHOP 2 theories have for consequence to leave the public think that to the official thesis are opposed only some wild "conspiracy nuts" theories which can be easily debunked by a technical analysis. This "noise" injected into the the system masks the "signal", i.e. that the truth is probably somewhere beetween the LIHOP and the MIHOP 3 theory. Obviously, deliberately or not, this is disinformation. There is thus, in the following chapter, a short review and comment of the "No plane on the Pentagon" theories.
The medias can take this type of disinformation, show it and explain (if not demonstrate) it's absurdity, and conclude that there was no conspiracy on septembre 11th. An example will be detailed. The Franco-German tv channel Arte has aired a program on April 13 2004, a thematic night titled "Le 11 septembre n'a pas eu lieu" [9/11 did not happen]. In the next section will be found a slide show with some images and all the texts of the tv show.
