-Caveat Lector-

An interesting and terrifying sidenote to this story is the fact that
HOECHST is trying to buy AGREVO.

I looked on my newswire here at work and could not find the story from
yesterday...but this is another agri/chemical merger that will have long
term effects upon all of us. I don't have the time to look this all up on
the net now but this is big stuff that doesn't sound like much on the initial
reading.

I work in the industry...my theory is that Dupont will someday own all the
genetics for crop seed and at that point will have us all by the short and
curlies. Right now, you have Dupont, Monsanto and Novartis. Whomever
controls the food supply wins. You'll note that these are all
chemical/pharmacautical giants. Genetically altered crops, indeed. Just
what will we be eating and how much will it cost?

The smaller ag/seed/chemical groups merge only to be swallowed by the
giants. Why is this allowed to happen? Money, pure and simple. An army
may travel on it's stomach but our future has been traveling on the 'yellow
brick road' for a long time. The yellow may look like paint to some.....

This isn't a joke. It's very real. What you may read about it should you
pursue is will scare you. Look into it. Food is important.
