As I pointed out, I know women who have had abortions. While the decision has not
come back to 'haunt' them, it could hardly be
categorized as a decision that "didn't make any difference". It was a decision that
made a BIG difference in their lives, one that
stays with them to this day. But it is not a decision that any of them regret having
made.
BTW, some of them had the abortion when they were very young -- late teens to early
20s -- others had the abortion later in life
(30s and 40s). Some were married to the father of the aborted fetus, some were single.
