I spent a few years in Korea and saw the missle sites there, about 700 nukes
total, although we have removed most, if not all of them. When I was in
Turkey from 80-82 I saw the same type of sites, heavily guarded, spot lights,
double cocertina wire, dogs etc ... same as Korea. The Turks say the missles
are still there, guys that worked at "Disco Hit" same as our Cheyenne
mountain facility. While I was there they were expanding their
communications capabilities similar to the ground launched cruise missle
sites in Europe. The "Glic" sites in Europe were closed, probably closed the
sites in Turkey also, but I don't know for sure.
