I have said this same thing many times myself. As a long time member and a moderator
here I have pointed out many times where this sort of thing takes on a life of its own
and eventually, if unchecked, will ruin this forum for everyone here.
Let us all be the grown ups we are (that would exclude any of you who are minors of
course). Let us all have some common sense and decency, as well as respect for each
other.
Don't expect to be treated with kid gloves and don't expect that your ivory tower will
not be marred when you post here. BUT, this is important, do not come here and get
involved in personal attacks. I can't even say how many times I have written about
this very issue. Let us stick to the issues, the ideas, and not each other. We are
all seekers after the truth, share what you know or think you know, tell others if you
think they're wrong, but don't attack THEM, attack ideas you don't agree with. If you
really do find yourself upset with another list member or are really angry with
someone, remember that we really don't need to hear about it.
