If you took the time to get to know the posters by reading what they
post, you might have found you could learn something from nessie -
whether you agree with him or not.

Well, you will be disappointed if you were expecting to join a social
club. Most lists don't throw out welcoming arms simply because on large
lists people come and go, yet a core group remains. Those are the
people who are truly interested in the subject - either experts in it,
or people willing to learn about it. I don't come out of lurkdom often
on this list, but can assure you there are lots of nice people here.
Also you will find that most people here have certain areas of
conspiracy theory that interest them, and their posts tend to reflect
their interests.

I don't think so. If you stick around, you'll find the CTRL list very
interesting. People are pretty busy though, and often don't have time
for chit chat. In fact, if I weren't ill now, I would have deleted all
these threads. One thing to remember about lists is that they have a
history of their own. The CTRL list has been through some rough times
with white supremaists, and Kris and others dealt with that stressful
time in an admirable way. Kris shows a lot of tolerance - much more so
than a lot of list owners.
> Were my Aussie expectations of you lot far too high???
Hummm, depends what you were looking for. A lot of information is
posted here that is fascinating. If you are looking for that - this is
a research list after all - you won't be disappointed. If you are
looking for instant friends and chit chat, then perhaps this is the
wrong list for you? However, nothing wrong with saying hello! It just
isn't really practical on a list this size that has research as its
primary goal. I don't think anyone intentionally ignorned your orginal
posts. I can't even remember them, to be honest - and I don't say that
to slight you, it is just that list traffic is heavy, and I tend to look
for posters who post information more than I follow threads - but that
is just me.
If you stick with the CTRL list I am sure you'll find much of interest.
Welcome aboard David, and thanks to Kris et al for keeping things on an
even keel!
