Well, there certainly were some Jews who were not too happy with Jesus and what he had
to preach. The NT which gives us the condemnation of the Jews, and the Pilate washing
his hands stories is a collection of books which was chaosen by the Church. Self
evident that what supported their already held belief would be accepted and what did
not would be rejected. So because Apostle X says "jews guilty" in the NT, and Pilate
"washed hands" doesn't mean diddly. If there was death by crucifixion, then it was
Rome the secular authority which carried it out. In the NT the Sanehedrin sent Jesus
to the Romans, even if the myth of the calling out of Barrabas was true it is still of
no moment, since Jesus was in Rome's custody, and it was Roman soldiers who cast lots
for his clothes, Romans who put him on the cross, and Romans who ordered, and presided
over his death. If you wish to believe another version because Apostle Mad Hatter
says it is so, and the undercurrent of Jewish guilt in the NT (especially espoused by
Paul) then go right ahead.
