It makes perfect sense to me too. That alone, however, does not make it
true. Unimpeachable evidence makes it true, nothing else. Sometimes,
things that make sense turn out to be true. Sometimes they don't.
Sometimes things that make no sense whatsoever turn out to have been true
all along. Another problem with using what makes sense as an indicator of
truth is that it is subjective. What makes sense to one person does not
make sense to another. Hense, smart people rely only on evidence. Dumb
people believe what they're told, without bothering to check it out first.
