What a barbaric country this has become. And we are so busy
with bread and circuses, I think we hardly notice anymore. For it
does take a barbaric country to treat it's mentally ill and poor as
criminals. Harks back to Dickens, doesn't it. I think the "middle-
class" which usually does care about such things is being pressed
so hard to "survive" and "keep up" that they have no time or energy
to consider such issues anymore.
And we have such short attention spans. What ever happened,
BTW, to Tim McVeigh and all that? That whole Columbine thing?
Does anyone remember? care?
