This is bringing the "learning in the streets" that you so
deplore into the classroom. It is making the process exactly
the same as you say you think is wrong. I think sex ed should
be rather clinical and taught by only a trained professional,
not some weirdo off the streets telling personal experiences.
That is sexual abuse, not education. I am also not so sure
how very basic 'fisting' is, either, but I do not think
personal
experience has any place in sex education. That is a form of
exhibitionism especially in the context of an adult telling
children of personal experiences of their own past. My
church
sponsored an in-depth sex ed course, required, and the kids
all said they found it embarrassing and rather disgusting. I
doubt that many were told one thing they had not already been
told at home by their parents. Same for these public
discussions of somebody's sex life. I
also question your contention that practically all kids 14 and
over are sexually active as some sign promises to wait
voluntarily and I personally know many who do not even date in
high school but wait until they go away to college to even
start dating. I think it may be your own world that is
skewed.

Because people want control of what their children are taught
and the manner and context in which it is taught by no means
confirms that they are repressed in any way. It is the right
of every parent to pass on their own values to their own
children and not the unknown values of any degenerate who
volunteers to speak to a group of children. This is an
outdated concept, that parents are not telling their children
about sex or refuse or are "too repressed" to discuss it with
them. I know of NO parents who fall into this category today.
Sounds like the parents of about two generations ago. These
are the kids of the 'flower children' generation and are
probably exposed from birth to openness concerning sex. But
they, too, have the right as parents to control what is taught
to their children in a tax-funded school setting.
Just MHO.

First off, this wasn't presented to 'little elemtary [sic]
children', but
to teenagers.

Secondly, this wasn't taught in a school as part of a school
curriculum,
but was one of many workshops presented at a conference. Big
difference.

Only a nightmare for those sexually repressed parents who
don't want
their children to know even the basic facts about human
sexuality...
