-Caveat Lector-

Well, Nate, I accept your apology but think you remember me
from previous posts supporting the Boy Scouts. I think the
original posts this time which you find so offensive are more
about parent's right to chose what and by whom their children
are taught in government schools. . I believe that is the
concern of most of us here and few, if any, give a rip about
your lifestyle. You stated that a Fox News Report was some
right-wing religious writing and that was not true. It is our
own children over whom we feel we have rights. Check the
stats on home schooling of late. We are also withdrawing
support for public education thanks to folks who think they
will dictate to what our children are exposed.

I know this is politically incorrect these days when the State
'owns' the children and will teach what/when/where they chose
but some of us have a hard time with that concept. But I DO
have a question for you since you are a most tolerant fellow
by your own claims. Why are there over 800 schools in this
country that provide facilities for the gay student clubs (Gay
Pride or whatever each is called) based on their homosexual
orientation yet deny the Boy Scouts the use of those same
facilities based on their heterosexual orientation? I always
ask this question and then those so very vocal suddenly go
silent and move on to other topics but I would really like to
know for I do not understand how this is fair. These are
tax-funded public facilities and I do not think one group
should be allowed to use them and not the other. If the Boy
Scouts are banned, then the gay students should not be slowed
to use the facilities, either.

Now Nessie claims the teaching of human sexuality is biology
but it has far more ramifications that that, at least for most
humans. It has psychological effects and some of this coarse,
crude stuff being promoted can be scarring to sensitive
children, I dare say among which Nessie was not counted as a
child nor adult either, for that matter. It is also the only
activity that results on the reproduction of other humans and
therefore carries far greater importance than the life cycle
of a dung beetle, for example. I realize that if a person
does not realize this, I am wasting my effort in even
bothering to explain it but I do want to make it clear that
those of us who oppose total strangers taking these liberties
with our children by such things as sharing their personal
sexual experiences are not fooling us for one minute with
their doublespeak. We are not nearly as stupid as you seem to
think we are and we are not fooled for one second.

Tolerance is only for little groups and minorities who profess
to be constant 'victims' yet seek by their actions to deprive
others of the same tolerance which they so loudly DEMAND. I
think this is going to have the opposite effect than that
desired and the patience and good will of the majority is
being badly abused in this regard. This is a very foolish
course of action on the part of extremists of every stripe.
And I think that those who oppose a gay lifestyle on the basis
of their religion or whatever as just as entitled to their
beliefs as you are to yours. I further think that many, if not
most, of the members of self-professed minorities are so
desperately seeking some form of discrimination that they
usually just fabricate it to validate their victim status and
reassure themselves that they are indeed 'special' and
deserving of some sort of preferential treatment. This form
of behavior is aka 'spitting into the wind' to put it politely
for one can never FORCE others to think and feel a certain
way. This determination by a few to enforce their will over
the children of the majority may well shut down the public
educational system in this country for I know I, for one, will
oppose every cent spent upon it as long as it is controlled by
special interest groups pushing an agenda contrary to what I
think is in the best interest of my own children and
grandchildren.

Regardless of my personal life, which is none of anyones
business. I am a
professional businessman. I believe in the truth above all
else. This is
what has guided me in my life and why I post against Aleisha's
tirades,
because what people perceive is unfortunate enough to cast the
first
impression. Look deeper into one's soul is what I say. I
agree with 95% of
what is posted on this list and therefore do not feel the need
to post!

This is 100 percent right. Personally I am 100 percent certain
that 100
percent of people who disagree with my viewpoint are 100
percent evil.

Kidding aside, without knowing Nate's age, hormone levels and
other
background information I would hesitate to make such a blanket
statement. In
younger days most of the people I knew were letting sexuality
run their
lives. Its importance decreases directly with hormone levels
and inversely
with maturity level.
