Global warming has always occured on this planet. If it were not for global
warming caused by greenhouse gases the Earth would be a lifeless, frozen
planet. The present concern is about the enhanced global warming caused
by the unprecedented addition of huge amounts of greenhouses released by
human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels which have stored
massive amounts of carbon as CO2.
The science is fairly clear on the amounts of additional greenhouse gasses
caused by human activities. Global warming is real and it is accelerating. The
only real uncertaintly is how fast it will increase, and what will be the
consequences.
Now wouldn't it be nice if some of our more politically-motived participants
could understand this simple fact instead of letting their political leanings get
in the way of the facts?
