How do you know Jonah wasn't swallowed by a big, white whale? For that
matter, how do you know that it was a whale, much less a white one, which
swallowed Jonah? See Jonah 1:16-18. Specifically, Jonah 1:17: "Now the
LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the
belly of the fish three days and three nights." You'll notice, of course,
that no mention is made of a whale or of its color.
"Truth," as you can see here as well, is in the eye of the beholder.
