However, the majority of those who abuse alcohol or any other substance long-term DO eventually develop paranoid thinking in the extreme. It is very unfortunate that Cooper's information, most of which is valid, was compromised by his paranoia; he reached some conclusions that may have been fueled by his mental disorientation. Even if everything he concluded was correct, the world we live in is not so completely evil or negative as he presented it. But give him credit, he stood for his view to the end and was willing to think independently.
