Not to split hairs, but, just because one knows the tenets of a
fundamentalist belief does not make one a fundamentalist.

"Facts are stupid things." - Ronald Reagan

Conversely:

"If you think you know what the hell is going on, you're probably full of
shit." - Robert Anton Wilson

Also: "Everything is relative." (do I need to cite?)

fundamentals of his trade, he's a lousy mechanic. It doesn't matter what he

Now you're mixing metaphors. There is a fundamental difference, pardon the
pun.

Tell that to the Catholics. Or the Protestants. Or the Lutherans. Or the ...
well, you get my idea.

Or are only the born-agains correct? What about the books of the apostles
which were not included in later versions of the Bible? Where are the
writings of Jesus? Wouldn't that be fundamental? All Christians have are
interpretations and dilutions.

mechanic, except maybe he likes to be called one. Why don't you take your
car to him and when he's finished trashing your car, you can write me about
the definition of fundamentalism.<<

You are speaking of absolutes in mechanics, while adherence to a
philosophy/religion is rarely fully realized, if ever.
