I don't quite understand what you're asking for. Perhaps I'm just confused, but for the record: What is it that you can't do with ctwm now? What's missing? I'm aware that ctwm doesn't adher to all window manager hints (formerly(?) known as Extended Window Manager Hints, ewmh) that the GNOME and KDE people are trying to add to ICCCM. It's that what you're thinking about? What, in your opinion, is the most pressing need?
