Hi Duncan, Thanks very much for responding to my e-mail.
If it is not too much of trouble, could you please explain the binary build process? I am looking at the url you sent and I am not sure where to start( to be honest with you). I will not give up, I will keep looking though. ;-) Thanks! -Imam -----Original Message----- From: Duncan Coutts [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2008 10:21 PM To: Toufique, Imam Cc: '[email protected]' Subject: Re: need some help please -- having build issues with ghc 6.6.1 On Thu, 2008-10-16 at 23:12 -0600, Toufique, Imam wrote: > Hi, > > Pardon me if I have sent this e-mail to an incorrect listing: > > I am very new to building ghc. Hi Imam, I suggest you start with a binary build of ghc. You can get the binary for 6.6.1 here: http://haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_661.html#x86linux Or get the latest version: http://haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_683.html#x86linux If you really want to, you can then rebuild from source. Doing an unregisterised "HC" build is a lot of work and for your platform it's quite unnecessary.
