Note that some of the failures will be because packages have not been
updated for the changes in 6.12, or for the more recent changes in the
HEAD, or because I didn't have necessary C libraries installed or
something.

I haven't looked at these failures at all, because I was only interested
in (a) whether the tool worked and (b) in what way packages failed to
build with the new layout rule.
