I've cleaned up the patch and found the last lingering bug (that I know of) and it seems things still work. I've pushed the cleaned up tree (my entire history sans debugging code squished into one tidy patch) to my arm-ghci-7.4-clean branch of my Github repository (https://github.com/bgamari/ghc/tree/arm-ghci-7.4-clean). At this point, the patch is, in my opinion, merge-ready if there are no objections. The changes are quite self-contained with nearly all of the changes being #ifdef'd by HOST_ARCH in Linker.c so the threat of regression in already working code should be negligible. Is it possible that this, along with the patches in #5824 (also quite self-contained), could make it in to 7.4? It would be nice to be able to claim full ARM support in this release.
