Sure, bring it along. It will definitely be a learning experience. I've never cared for tape. And ever since large external drives became so cheap, even less so.
I assume you'll bring the computer, the drive, and at least one blank tape (for R/W tests) in addition to the tape you're trying to read.
Maybe I'll get a chance to pick your brain about webmin, too. :)
