Ed, I use KPPP with Fedora Core III. Worldnet is my ISP provider. It is cheaper for me since I am an employee of AT&T. When I go to meetings that provide ethernet capabilities; I just activate my ethernet connection through FCIII.
At first SBC required that you have total service with them. I don't know if that is still the case. As for the 3 month price break; I don't care for that if it means that the price would go up to compete with the other ISP's after three months.
