This sounds like the age old, how do you get around the too restrictive
corportate firewall?  Well they restrict it for a reason.

yes you can tunnel/proxy/vpn through other machines but it's alot easier
if you just get the admin to lighten up or set the boxen up somewhere
else before bringing them onsite.
