You make it sound so simple, which I'm sure it is once you know the  
right steps.

In the real world what I would do is get some yellow and blue acetate  
film[1].  Cut out circles from each.  Overlay them in a Venn diagram- 
like pattern and attach them to a clear transparent sheet.  The  
overlapping area would be green.

Here's an SVG version[2] which is close to what I'm looking for.   
Notice, thought, that the intersection is the wrong color. (Modified  
from the Mozilla website on SVG[3].  Thanks to Craig Buchek and his  
Lightning Talk on SVG.)
