From my advice, my father bought an eeepc 900 16G, 900 Mhz celeron, 16 Gb SSD drive. It did ship with an stripped down version of Xandros which I replaced with Ubuntu-eee.
Doesn't look like that virus will be a factor. Thanks though. I have custody of the eeepc right now and I have been struggling with a firefox issue. Even though a start page has been set at http://www.google.com/ig , it starts with a blank page every time. Also, it remebers nothing, no bookmarks, no browsing history, not even the last page you were browsing (for the back button to work.) I have been searching the forums and trying recommended workarounds and nothing has yet worked. Now I am attempting a complete removal/purge of firefox and all config files following by a cold reinstall but still do not know the cause of this goofyness. Opera 9.52 is also installed and works fine. Thanks for the heads up. Robert Sean Burns wrote: > Hey Robert, > > You bought an Asus right?
