What I have found quite helpful is a guy from Canada, Adam McDaniel compiled a custom kernel for the eeepc for faster boot time, working, wifi, sound, mic, etc. He keeps updating and posting the most current one in his repository for download (with an update shortly following each generic kernel update.)
His website is at http://www.array.org/ubuntu/ Robert Citek wrote: > On Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 12:17 AM, Robert & Janet Bennett > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> Robert do you use the NBR or the >> regular gnome desktop? >> > > I use the regular Ubuntu.
