I ignored the message thinking I was only
installing it so I could print documents in
Times New Roman from OpenOffice Writer,
but after reading it again, I guess it means
that I would not be able to see my font as
it will print without the additional package.

Is that correct?

Also, Scott, what USB microphone did you
get?
