That's almost what I'm looking for but not quite. Let's say I want to type the word "mañana". The way I tried using the Autoreplace was to create a n~ to be replaced with ñ. However, if I type "man~ana", the n~ doesn't get changed. I have to type "ma n~ " and then go back to remove the spaces before typing "ana". Only then will I get "mañana". In short, autoreplace works well for complete strings, but not so well for substrings. More likely I will have to do something with the keyboard layouts, but the instructions aren't very clear on that.
