Well said.

I have some regular CB opponents, and have occasionally played and enjoyed
some GMT games by CB which I have purchased BECAUSE I have enjoyed playing
them on line.

I do not have regular face to face opponents who enjoy the boardgames I
particularly like, and I find that Cyberboard has led to the INCREASE in my
game collection. The vast majority of the games I play these days are the
GMT card series games.

Just my $0.02.

Regards

Andy

A 'Home Goal' indeed! And whatever the hit for LYG (none, as far as I'm
concerned), it's a sad hit for OSG, as now I and many other gamers who have
long loved their games, will no longer even consider them. I hope that the
poster who cautioned a wait-and-see attitude about L2 is right, as I think
they
are a good company, but I'm pretty set that if a company won't allow CB,
their
game is worthless as it will get no play.

I am sure some folks take advantage of the possibility of downloading a game
without owning a hard copy, but I think a company deludes itself to think
this
causes much sales loss. Certainly there are a few impoverished students who
will get a game this way for lack of resources, but they weren't going to
pop
for the game anyhow, and as players they can add to the larger community of
players of a game in any case. Others of us will download a game to take a
close look at it before buying, but if we like it, especially if we play it,
why on earth wouldn't we want to buy it, both to support/reward the designer
and publisher AND for the warm glow the game brings to our shelves and game
tables?

GMT is a company that epitomizes liberality of public access of rules & CB
boxes. The result: I and many others buy GOBS of their games ...
