Hi Warren:
I have seen too the same amount using Dial-up connection in many
Cyber-Cafes in my City and works fine. Recently, the local TELCO
introduce ISDN. I think ISDN have a decent bandwith for eight
computers. But...i have a problem: the service is not avaiable in
many zones of the city. Well in that case...always exists the dial-
up alternative.
In my case, i expect to use ISDN or Satellite service. If i want to
use Satellite, the big problem -in my case- consist in the limits on
Megabytes per Month transferred. For example: With $480USD i have
only 3,000MB aviable per month. I think 3000 MB is not enough because
almost all in Internet have many many graphics.
P.S. I'm really near from Honduras, i'm in Mexico.
Thanks all for your advice.

Marco,
If your customers will be mostly Hotmailers or surfers, dial-up could
be
practical. I've seen as many as 10 stations sharing one dial-up
connection without problems... when everyone is emailing or surfing.
(UNAH computer lab, Tegucigalpa, Honduras.) If someone tries to do
something more bandwidth intensive, however, users begin to suffer.
I have a dial-up connection serving two stations. My customers are
almost exclusively emailers, so bandwidth is no problem. I could
easily
add more stations should demand ever warrant it.
Given your tutopia email address, are you in Central America, too?
