Subject: Re: [cc] ADSL Update

After speaking to BT today.

The ADSL service is definately being rolled out.
For Single user residential service - 0800 389 6622 information
                                                     0800 917 9189 to order

For single user Business service - 0800 783 6340

There is a multi user business sevice which is slightly more expensive. As
we use a server for all our staff to access the internet, this is apparently
classed by BT as a single user requirement.
For the business service, once you place your order and providing you are
within range of the exchange, then within 2 weeks, a survey will be arranged
by BT and if you meet the criteria (technical) then it will take approx 8
days for fitting.

For my residential service, i was promised that if i order today, it will be
installed by October 31st.
The available speeds being offered are all at 512kbs down and 256kbs
upstream. When the existing BT trials are over, there may be more bandwidth
available.
