How long and when did you get your ADSL from tele2..? how long have you run
your cafe for using ADSL..? what bandwidth have you gone for..?
Oh yeah.. i was also wondering how the 20:1 contention ratio was
divided/alocated.. issit done by the ISP or the local exchange..? do the
ISP's "have" a certain bandwidth at the local exchange (thus if you go for
the smaller ISP's then you may not need to share your connection with as
many people *hope hope* OR issit totally done by the local exchange
regardless of ISP?)
thanks for answering the questions =)
(we're hopfully getting ADSL today =])

yes, setting up you cafe in the same locatation as an ISP has major cost
advantages....
tele2 seem good, they say they've got enough bandwidth to change the world..
looks good to me :-)....and works well.
ADSL, I'm sure BT are going to fudge this badly....it's not in thier
intrestest
to give people high bandwidth internet links...they have a whole frame
relay/ISDN
network out thier, which is earning them nice $$$$ why undermine this..??
Sounds like commercial sucicide.....I wonder when BT vanshish from the
coporate
landscape, will anyone miss them?
Cheers,
Lee

i would not go with ADSL in my internet cafes, i need to have a min
bandwidth and not a share, however a work colleague of min had it installed
on Friday at home and it rocks ( he will be on of this first of up to 50
though)
I am going with a solution from www.tele2.co.uk for the reading site and utp
cable to our isp upstairs for Guildford :-)
I would be interested to here from any cafe in the UK who has it though

Call the number I provided yesterday and BT will let you know whether you
are within range of a suitable exchange and they can also transfer you to a
technical section for the other question.
PS Don't mention that the requirement is for a cybercafe. I informed them
it was for an internet business (Not a lie really).
