Interesting. I came across a CC which uses these coinbox operated PCs when I
was in my wife's hometown. I think it saves the owner plenty of time since
all he needs to do at day end is to calculate the coins or tokens, then
recycle them the next day. I was reluctant to use timing software because I
saw my friend's CC is having some problems when the PCs sometimes crashed
due to the software.
Up until now I'm still using a quick basic program written by myself to
calculate the time usage and charges, then jot it down in my CC logbook for
book keeping purpose. I think the coinbox technic can save plenty of time,
and above all, it benefits the owner since one doesn't have to cope with the
refund issue so much. Sometimes there are clients who ask for unreasonable
refund or simply say they've forgot to bring any money..... you get the
picture. Since it is token/coin-operated, one has to pay before he uses
anything, thus solving above issues and no hanky panky from the cashier as
well. How nice if I could count my tokens/money at day end instead of
working day and nite doing book keeping. BTW, I wonder what is in these
CPU-like coinbox ? How could I get my hands on them in Malaysia ????? Anyone
has tried them out successfully ?????
