The Met is revolting over the Home Offices �33 million nationwide scheme to
record all police officers DNA on the national database, intended to
eliminate them from scene of crime evidence.
Fewer than half the officers targeted nationaly have come forward, only
3,000 of the 15,700 targeted in the London area have volunteered so far
come forward to give samples, although the deadline is for the end of this
month.
