No the Cabinet will be using their Ministerial Jags and
Rovers at public expense, for work anyway.

Some petrol supplies are becoming available here in South
Wales but not much, a three hour wait for L10 worth of
4-star or diesel at one filling station near here. The M4
between Cardiff and Bridgend is very quiet for the last
two days as people have stopped using cars.

One local garage has supplies of unleaded for emergency
and essential services.

In our office in Cardiff several staff have failed to get
in as bus services have been withdrawn, not that many yet
but the numbers are set to rise. Also the train services
on the Valley Lines are said to be OK until Friday but
then will switch to a limited service or no service at all.

The local Tesco has been stripped of bread, milk and
potatoes tonight and even with limits placed on how much
people can buy stocks are disappearing almost as fast as
they are delivered.

Latest reports on teletext say military petrol tankers are
being placed to provide fuel. However, with the succesive
reductions in military strength in recent years just how
many do they have?

A report/special programme is just starting on BBC 1 and a
poll has shown over 70% of people still support the blockade
but that would drop to under 50% if emmergency services were
adversly affected.

Regards

Jerry

Most of the Texaco stations around the area appear to be
selling small quantities. The MoD has apparently deployed
80 tankers which is purely symbolic as that would just about
service the armed forces critical needs.
