Steve, I would agree if you wish to move a small
quantity by air but when you are shipping the stuff
by the 40 ton container load by sea the unit shipping
costs are very small. My point about importing powder
for your own purpose was to show how expensive it is
in small quantities rather than suggest it as an
alternative to buying locally. Look at transport costs
for sand and aggregate in the construction industry
compared to the raw material cost, it just about
doubles the price for moving the stuff 15 miles if my
memory serves me correctly.

Vihatouri (or however you spell it) almost certainly
comes in by air, perhaps that explains the cost
difference as other people can ship it by land from
Finland, or they can order enough to send it by sea.
I've never actually seen Vihatouri powder in this
country. Who sells it?
