>Community's relief as lone gun fanatic gets six year's
>jail
Good God - This whole episode is tragic. This guy
certainly was public enemy number one wasn't he - even
to the extent that he was completely and
utterly responsible for dogs barking it seems.
Its no wonder the guy was a 'loner' - the whole of the
local populous admitting that they had forbade anyone
they had power over even talking to him. And indeed
the quote about knowing what machine gun fire was because
of seeing enough Hollywood movies (Red Dawn perhaps)speaks
volumes.
I suppose if his current bedtime book had have been one
by Steven King, they had have been Sainsbury's Classic
Collection wine bottles rather than beer cans, instead of
tools and machinery paints and canvas, and rather than a
punch bag in the barn, a potting wheel, the poor guy may
had a fairer chance.
I tell you what people - if this is an example of the
type of countryside community the CA and its ilk are
trying to save you can stick it. Give me the city
streets, smog and noise any day. Give me noisy and rude
neighbors who I probably wouldn't want to go for a beer
with (but so what I have dozens of other neighbors) but
probably wouldn't have even noticed me to form petty
middle class judgement because I don't wear a suit to
work or drive a 4x4.
