Thanks for the info.
Our village has about 90 homes, 300 souls. Many are of the new breed
"proctectus everythingus" and to beat them on a straight vote would be neigh
impossible. Unless there was a greater "proctectus" herd gathering (in say
London) on the same day!!
Nice touch(?) is that the herding instinct of this new breed has forced up
the prices of village homes so that you have to be able to shell out
UKL250,000 to get into the simple homes in the village. This knocks on to
encourage the old villagers to cash in their homes, move to retirement home,
and allow more "protectus everythingus" into the village.
All said I will look into your pointers, could at least make them graft a
bit (one a barrister of London repute!!) so could be fun
