It's a matter of public perception. Shooters in the UK have been
deliberately given a bad press. I live in NI where approx 10% of the
population are legally allowed to carry for self defence. and despite our
problems, we have less trouble than the "gun free "UK mainland. Guns over
here will be lost as a political offering, not as a requirement for public
safety.
