Well, what about banners that are carried by several people?
Something that can be unfurled, and carried along a string
or small rope, and either supported along its length, or when carried
along side.
Also, how about a prerecorded set of messages, short, to the
point, and catchy to the mind, that can be broadcast at boom box
amplitude, as the parade traverses the streets?
As far as messages go, I suggest something along this line:
"It was Stalin's Russia. It was Hilter's Germany. It was Mussolini's
Italy. Will it become Blair's Britain?"
"Who's rights will we vote against next year?"
"What comes around, goes around."
"The politics of hate are the politics of exclusion."
"The elimination of all rights begins with the ones least liked."
"Gulags aren't just for bad people anymore."
"How many things can you outlaw, just because you don't like them?"
