From: "Alex Hamilton", [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Anyway, my point is this: although we have all heard cases (mostly US) of >> Policemen being disarmed and shot, is anyone aware of a real case where a >>UK householder was injured after being disarmed. Or is this just bunkum? >> >> James >I presume that you mean, "injured with his/her own weapon". >I do not know of any relevant study in the UK, but a recent US study might >be of interest. Are we getting bogged down in irrelevant detail again? To follow this argument we should disarm the military to stop the enemy from capturing their weapons - what a load of rubbish!!!! Researchers who spend money trying to disprove logic should be put down for an immediate brain transplant and instead of pandering to them and studying their "work" we should brand them as dagerous idiots. On recent record, I am afraid, that includes most politicians, especially those who believe that imposing restrictive legislation on the law abiding can have any effect on criminals. Alex -- yes, but this is one of the reasons the antis put forward for why no-one should be trusted with a gun, or a weapon at all for that reason.
