Hi Steve,
Call me old fashioned but don't you need evidence to convict someone of
murder. Just having someone who fits a psychological profile doesn't really
cover it... or so i thought. One presumes they have something more
substantial on this chap? I am sure it will come out in due course if the
media haven't charged, verdicted, sentenced and convicted him in the mean
time!

Presumably they have eyewitness identification, from the line up.
Not sure where the eyewitnesses were though, it sounds shaky from a court
standpoint, he lives in the area so could have any number of reasons
to be near Jill Dando's house other than to murder her.
I would guess they are tearing his house apart trying to find something
else to connect him.
