Just in adition to this article.
I only caught the last part of the radio piece with Mike Yardley but
apparently the local licensing department were so enamoured of this guy that
they used to send him Christmas cards.
Very impressed with Mike Yardley's performance, as he was being treated as
what we could call an expert witness he scored a good few points in our
favour with no challenge.
He seems now to have the politician's ability to nail a good number of
points very quickly and connected the same failures in policing to both
Hamilton and Ryan and the total failure of the last raft of legislation to
have any effect on armed crime.
(I hope he takes the comparison with politicians as a compliment)
