My club recently took a batch of Eley .22 Match Extra. The previous batch
was superb through my rifle, and a few others, but some of the newer guns were
having problems. The rounds were too tight for their barrels. The new batch, is,
through my rifle, utterly useless. It is worse than the stuff in the white box!
(Standard?)
But the guys with newer rifles love the stuff, as it shoots really well.

So, the answer is, there is no answer! Carry out the odd batch test, then
get hold of as much of that batch as you can, if it suits your rifle. If it doesn't,
you keep looking.

If you want to get really technical, you can go to Eley, and batch test
Tenex for the day, till you find a batch that is perfect for you and your rifle, then
buy that batch of 5000 rounds!
