Yes Johnathan I did "chuck my tuppence worth into the boiling oil" I was
under the impression that this was the purpose of this list.
The first question regarding the liabilities of Juries had a question mark
and was a genuine enquiry as to wether there was some dire penalty lurking
in the books somewhere.
The second observation was a statement of personal feeling if I found myself
sitting on such a jury and the reference to judges was having heard some
pretty strange reports of summings up over the years. The one that springs
to mind being the Jeremy Thorpe case which was beautifuly lambasted by Peter
Cook.
You obviously work in a field that has far more contact with the police and
courts than I ever plan to but I suspect that there are a large number of
people, not least in the ethnic minorities, who would view a group of
largely old, male, well heeled, white, ex lawyers with considerably more
suspicion than I do.
Sensitive?
No just an FAC holder
ie: paranoid nutter with definite psycopathic tendencies.
