I do agree with the last point though!

What was particularly evident at the London Countryside March, was that the
organisers had presumably been persuaded under some pretext, that it was
necessary to preclude participants from gathering together at the end-point,
which was Hyde Park, by forcing the marchers to split into two, one North of
the Serpentine, the other to its South, where there was nothing but greasy
burger stalls and the like, together with a huge anti-climax! As marchers
were told to spread their arrival throughout the day, the huge potential
impact of a RALLY in the park, was debarred. There could not have been a
more literal demonstration of how to divide to rule!
There was also the matter of the thousands of VHF portable radios the CA had
bought to sell to marchers, so that they could listen in to the formally and
approved VHF radio programme broadcast for that day especially for the
attendees. Lo and behold, that broadcast was jammed by persons claiming via
profane and foul language to be the Anti Hunting brigade. How strange that
the authorities never used their ample radio homing facilities to locate the
illegal radio and deal with the transgressors, and not a peep of complaint
did I hear from any of the CS organisers whose whole costly broadcast
endeavour was thereby totally washed out!

Next time, if there is one, may I suggest that any March concludes with a
Rally in a suitable venue such as Hyde Park (or the Dome perhaps <G>), and
that a platform is given to the many people who can deliver the messages
that the attendees wish to express by their Rally and March. We do not need
such democratic expressions by the ordinary people to be used as any
personal ego trip by certain individuals nor should we permit such peaceful
protests to be ambushed and diverted by plausible placemen from the enemies
of democracy!

Perhaps envoys and advance parties could march from all quarters of the
land, stopping over in farmers barns at night en route, and gather numbers
as they go, culminating at the London March and Rally in Hyde Park. One
final staging post could be Bisley where a pre-rally evening could be held
and if necessary people could be bussed in and back the next day. There are
many such ways to increase the impact and presence of such an endeavour, all
it takes is the sit, the grey matter and the will to do it. Without such
organisation I believe that many who put a lot of effort, time and money
into the three shooters marches and rallies, plus the two London Countryside
events etc., will be most reluctant to do so again. Give them recognition.
give them a voice, let them be part of something that builds to a tangible
climax in which their contribution has been felt or recognised, and then you
would have a real tour de force.
Everyone loves to be associated with a winner but nobody loves a loser. I
would suggest that it is high time that, rather than the graceful losers
that we are perceived to be, those who are interested in the truth, freedom,
democracy, fairplay and our constitutional rights etc., became winners and
recognised as such!
