My race this past weekend was not great either..
I developed a case of "bad attitude"...
I had 2 goals for the race, the first was a PR the second was an attempt to
qualify for Worlds..both of those goals went out the window when they cancelled
the swim, I need the swim to compensate for my weaker run. I totally understand
why they did, no problem. My issues came with the abundant degree of blatant
drafting and poor sportsmanship. I can not count the number of pacelines that
passed me on the bike, when I called a group of females "cheating drafters" as
the sped past me on the second lap their response was to blow snot rockets on
me as they went by .. pretty unbelievable..
I decided to pull out after the bike..frustrated and disgusted with the
cheaters. My first ever DNF.
Anyway .. the 3 men Tricredibles at the race all qualified for Worlds !!
They did say people were cutting the course on the run as well..since there were
no timing mats on the out and back and loop sections
