wymca:
being the belgian lite bada$$ I am not, opted for the sunday, drip like it's
the 4th of july, 45min voluntary spin ride conducted by newly designated spin
instructor larryB. Great music, lots of drip and then a yoga sess. Yep, I do
love
and know my yoga, ..... amongst other life challenges.

This sounds like the first 3-way split on an organized trek, eh? Thanks for the
informational and colorful reporting there lR! Always entertaining.

WILSON: The temps were hanging around 40, the sky was overcast (was there a
slight mist?) and a somewhat steady wind out of the north at 10. 8 COWs
gathered at DD for the standing 2:00 pm Sunday Ride. Jim, Doc, Wally, Nick,
Turbo Dan (he had just finished his 20 mile warm up ride), Dale, Bob and LR
roll out Nash St. and into the wind covered head to toe. Turning onto
Packhouse Rd. the group rode at spirited pace. Turning left on to Bloomey, up
and over 95, across Lamm Rd. and to Pearson’s Point. As the herd approached
the Point three groups formed up. Jim and Doc turned left on W Hornes Church
Rd. as they had an appointment to keep and were on a short ride. Wally, Nick,
Turbo Dan and Dale kept the spirited pace and rolled right on down W. Hornes
Church toward Old Smithfield. Bob and LR also turned right on W Hornes Church
although at a slower pace. Bob and LR turned right on Old Smithfield and
followed it all the way to Liles Rd. turning left onto Liles and left again at
97. To this point the ride had been more or less into the wind. On 97 the
wind was more or less coming from behind. After a brief pit stop at the store
at Strickland’s Crossroads the ride continued on turning right on Sugar Hill
Rd, left on to Thompson Chapel Rd and a right on to Nash St. 27 miles, 18 pace.
Today was cold enough, had just enough wind but a bit short on moisture, call
it Belgian lite. Great ride.

Looking for a report from Jim and Doc as well as Nick, Wally, Dale and Turbo
Dan.
