Two Garmins that gave different views of the hills: Looks like the starting elevation is the difference, but I'll go with your total gain instead of mine. Total doesn't matter, I still had a blast.

Bob's Garmin:
Elevation Gain: 1,178 ft Elevation Loss: 1,171 ft MinElevation: 42 ft MaxElevation: 253 ft

Tim's Garmin:
Elevation Gain: 1,303 ft Elevation Loss: 1,358 ft MinElevation: 150 ft MaxElevation: 366 ft

I agree with Tim that this was a cool route. I enjoyed the hills for the most part, but you could have had the dogs on the downhills instead of the top of the hills. More hills isn't scary, but could you schedule the worst ones a little further from the end?

Sandbagging? All I did was hang on to the "nauseatingly slow" pace. I must say that I appreciate you A group folks holding back when you got the urge to blast off. There were several sections that would have been great launch pads to a strong attack.

Awesome ride on an awesome day. Unfortunately, it's back to work tomorrow.

Hey you short changed us 4 miles. 36 miles total! Glad you guys decided to make the trip. That is a cool route minus a couple dogs. You'll have to come back as we didn't have time to cover all the hills. There is Swift Creek, Boddies Mill Pond, Medoc, etc.

Bob L and I joined Tim and Kinnie in Nashville for 2 hours of what Kinnie called nauseatingly slow pace, oxymoron. We set out under Colorado blue skies, warm sunshine and just enough head wind to let you know it was there. Ride started with Bob and Tim engaged in conversation the pace nice and appropriate. That lasted about 20 min and the rest of the ride was more tempo pace with some 26/29 downhills. All the dogs wanted to come out and play, one in particular, sat on Bob and Tim's wheel, all I saw was the little spoke breaker friend. Suddenly Kinnie pulls up be side me, Tim yells go, go ,go, a short burst and we drop the dog like Lance dropped Ulrich. Kinnie and I couldn't understand the excitement as we were not worried about the dog as we were clearly out riding Bob and Tim. As retribution I think Tim found every hill from that point on until we got back. Bob gave a good account of himself on the rolling hills, don't believe this B ride stuff, he has been sandbagging. Kinnie as usual smiling and laughing not matter what the pace or terrain. Beautiful rolling route of 32 miles, I know why Lucas climbs so well training in Nash Co.
Great day to be out on the bike.
