Vino said he'd try to make it, but - and I know it's a real shock to us all - he didn't show. Must have a Schleck diuretic issue. Anyway, we head out at a quck tempo out 58 and get to Stagecoach and back thru Elm City. Jeff does a dynamite pull and says he's riding in support of Vino, so pulls back a bit. Coming out of Elm City, Ronnie does a dynamite pull and says he's also riding in suppor of Vino and slips back. (Good to know Vino is a "protected" rider even when he's snoozing.) DC, Dan and I keep pushing back to DD. I hang on since I don't have a phone, notice Dan does, and pretty sure i'll need to call 911 at some point. We pull in to DD and I"m showing 23.5 avg; Dan has 24.2. Either pace was quick enough for me. Thanks to Jeff for getting everyone up and out early today.
