Sorry so late, it has been a busy day. Fact #1, there are some very fast COWs. Fact #2 LR has firm grip on the Red Lantern. :)
I saw it coming. Nick sets a very fast pace and pulls off after just a few minutes, Ronnie takes the pull, maintains the pace (I think he picked it up a bit) then he pulls off after a few minutes and passes things to Turbo (a team time trial from my perspective). Turbo's takes the pull Emeril style and "takes things up a notch" to the 27-28 range....uphill. After struggling to hold Turdo's wheel (I'm sure I am dying) I took my turn at the pull. After a few minutes I attempt to slip back and draft at the rear. Instead I get plain old fashioned dropped. Watching the thundering herd roll off into the sunrise on Pridgen Rd I swear you could smell the rubber burning (in my case I was smelling my blown engine). My max speed for the ride was 28 struggling to hang onto to Turbo! Holy Cow! Dropped back in full support of Vino and finished well behind the herd. I am not quite ready for a 24 avg yet but willing to work on it. All kidding aside, a truly awesome display this morning and fun to be in it. Nick pulled out of DD at 23. I hold pace to 23-24, Turbo takes over and full throttle to 25+. After the first 3-5 miles the pace settles in somewhat at 23-24. ---- Nick Ellis <[email protected]> wrote: > Jeff, Turbo, Ronnie, DC and I went out for a "rocket ride".
